Lynas Foodservice is committing £4.3m to renewable energy infrastructure, aiming to generate 75% of its electricity from solar, wind, and on-site battery storage at its Coleraine headquarters. The project includes a rooftop solar array, a 1.25MW wind turbine, and a microgrid system to store energy and feed surplus back to the grid — enough to offset the equivalent consumption of 700 homes.
Backed by Bank of Ireland UK, the investment will reduce energy costs, enhance supply security, and align with customer demand for sustainable operations, while supporting the company’s growth in Ireland and Scotland.
