Northern Ireland launches NIMO to steer £4bn maritime sector toward growth, green goals

A new government-backed body, the Northern Ireland Maritime & Offshore Network (NIMO), has officially launched to unite and grow NI’s £4bn maritime economy. With 46 founding members including Artemis Technologies, Belfast Harbour and Harland & Wolff, NIMO will focus on boosting job creation, productivity, and carbon reduction through collaboration and innovation.

Funded by Invest NI, NIMO builds on the success of the Belfast Maritime Consortium and aims to position Northern Ireland as a leading UK and EU maritime hub.
