Irish solar PV and battery storage company Local Power has signed a new multi-year agreement with SOLARWATT UK & Ireland, renewing a partnership of more than ten years to supply integrated renewable energy systems to farms, businesses and homes across Ireland, as reported by Agriland.

Agriland reported that the agreement was announced during Intersolar Europe in Munich, the world's leading solar industry exhibition, and reinforces both companies' commitment to delivering premium renewable energy systems backed by German engineering, European warranties and intelligent energy management.

Local Power, headquartered in Dunboyne, Co. Meath, has been a SOLARWATT customer and channel partner for over a decade and claims to have been the first company to introduce SOLARWATT's glass-glass solar module technology to the Irish market. Glass-glass panels replace the traditional flexible plastic backing with a second layer of tempered glass, offering greater durability and weather resistance.

Pat Smith, managing director of Local Power, said: "We are delighted to have secured a new multi-year agreement with SOLARWATT, enabling us to continue offering our customers some of the most innovative and robust solar PV and battery storage solutions available. We have proudly partnered with SOLARWATT in Ireland for more than 10 years and remain committed to delivering premium German-engineered products backed by European warranties."

Smith highlighted the SOLARWATT Battery vision system, developed in cooperation with BMW, as a key product for residential and farm energy storage, and described the company's integrated system offering, spanning solar panels, inverters, battery storage, energy management and EV charging, as providing customers with a single point of supply and comprehensive warranty support.

Peter Bachmann, chief product officer and managing director of SOLARWATT, said: "Over the past decade, they have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality renewable energy solutions and exceptional customer service. Together, we share a commitment to providing homeowners, farms and businesses with premium, integrated energy systems that deliver outstanding performance, long-term reliability and greater energy independence."

Bachmann added that partnerships of this kind are fundamental to helping customers transition to clean energy, and that SOLARWATT, together with BMW, continues to invest in the next generation of integrated home energy solutions, with further innovations planned for the Irish market.
